Ronaldinho to obtain dual nationality on Monday
David Puig
Ronaldinho will complete the formalities for Spanish nationality on Monday, ending a legal process that began in 2005.
By taking on dual nationality, Ronaldinho will once again demonstrate his total commitment to the
Club and the city of Barcelona. Since he signed for Barça in 2003, Ronaldinho has become the best
player in the world and a reference point for the team.
This step also means that Ronaldinho will no longer count as one of the three permitted
non-EU players. Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon), Touré Yaya (Ivory Coast) and Giovanni dos Santos (Mexico)
are all non-EU players though the latter is due to receive dual nationality very soon.
