Good atmosphere at La Masia
Sandra Sarmiento / Jordi Clos
Barça were back in training this morning following their great win over Inter Milan to take the Gamper Trophy on Wednesday night. The players had a gentle work out and also welcomed Gudjohnsen back after his injury layoff.
There was a happy atmosphere at La Masia as the players basked in last night’s result and
there was a special welcome for Eidur Gudjohnsen, who enjoyed his first training session of the
season and was given a round of applause by his team-mates when he turned up.
Touré and Eto'o missing
The many fans who turned up at La Masia to see the players
training missed out on a sighting of Touré Yaya, away on personal business, the injured Eto'o, who
was undergoing tests and Frank Rijkaard who was also missing.
After some simple ball work, the players paired up for some passing practice, followed by
some jogging and shooting practice. Deco, Henry and Oleguer, who played all last night’s
game, as well as Gudjohnsen, left the session early.
