Frank Rijkaard has named every player that he has available in his squad for the first official home game of the season against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday in Camp Nou.

For the first time, Giovani Dos Santos and Gabi Milito have been called up for an official game this season. These two new faces are joined in the 19-man squad by Marc Crosas. The B team player has been named by the coach for the second consecutive week, having been included in the trip to Racingt Santander last Sunday.

Eidur Gudjohnsen has been training with the squad during the last few sessions, but the Icelandic international has yet to receive the green light from doctors to return to playing and has therefore been left out of the squad to face Athletic.

Eto’o out of action

The most telling omission is that of Samuel Eto'o as the Cameroonian international begins to recuperate after injuring his thigh in the Trofeo Gamper encounter against Inter in midweek. He is expected to be out for around eight weeks.
