Henry impressed with Barça support

Thierry Henry has thanked the Barça fans for all the support they have shown him, especially after scoring his first official goal for the club against Olympique Lyon.
FC Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has explained how he feels after scoring his first official goal
for Barça. Speaking at a promotional event in the Poble Espanyol along with Real Madrid keeper,
Iker Casillas, Henry recognised the importance of scoring against Lyon. ”It felt great
although what was really important was the fact the team won” he said. “I am very happy
to have scored at the Camp Nou in front of our fans. After trying in so many other games, I scored
at last.”
Praise for the fans
Henry also said that “the fans have treated me well at
all times. The truth is, I like the Barça supporters a lot.” The supporters are aware that he
put in an awful lot of effort since joining the club, and Henry claims “I have always given
it one hundred per cent in all matches. I have always played that way.”
Messi and Ronaldinho
Henry also spoke about two of his team mates, Ronaldinho and
Messi. The Brazilian is “a fantastic player, special. He is still one of the best players in
the world, if not the best.” But Messi was his man of the match against Lyon. “Messi
carried the team in attack although the most important thing is not who plays best but that the
team plays well as a whole and wins matches.”
