Touré out for four weeks
Vanessa Forns
Touré Yaya has been ruled out of action for at least four weeks after tests revealed that he has torn the femoral biceps in his left leg during the victory over Levante on Saturday evening.
The Ivory Coast international reported to the club's medical team on Sunday morning so that they
could run a series of tests to determine the extent of the injury and the outcome was bad news for
FC Barcelona and the defensive midfielder himself. The tear to a muscle in his left leg will see
him miss the next month of action.
Ending with ten
After pulling up with five minutes remaining of the game against Levante, Touré limped out of
the action in the Ciutat de Valencia and was escorted down the tunnel. The 24-year-old could not be
substituted as Barça had already made all three of their changes and the team were forced to end
the encounter with ten men.
