All of the members of the first team squad posed for the official team picture for the 2007/08 season, and the occasion was treated in typically high spirits.
Nobody was missing for the team picture – the new signings, the injured players, young Bojan and Giovani, president Laporta and the coaching staff, led by Rijkaard, everybody put on their best smiles for the annual photograph that will be appearing everywhere from posters to books.
Individual and group shots
The photo shoot got under way at 9.30 am, and the venue was the Camp Nou
turf. This year’s picture was first taken wearing formal dress, the players in jackets, ties
and trousers made by Sacoor Brothers, one of the club’s official sponsors. Impeccably
elegant, the players first posed individually, and then as a group.
Official kit
Once the photo with the Sacoor Brothers gear was in the can, the players
returned to the dressing rooms and reappeared in regular football kit. Then it was watch the
birdie, say cheese, and another historic photograph of one of the most impressive collections of
football talent on the planet was committed to celluloid.
Bojan completes missing link
Striker Bojan Krkic was the only player who had yet to have an official photo taken in the official
strip. The day the players posed for the pictures solicited annually by UEFA, Bojan Krkic had been
away with the Spanish Under 17 squad, so this morning he was called aside for the missing picture
to be taken.
