"It would be a dream to play in el Clásico"
Marc Guillén
Giovani Dos Santos has revealed that playing against Real Madrid on Sunday would be a dream come true for him, but accepts that he would not be too disappointed if he is not given the chance to experience el Clásico this time.
The Mexican youngster looked ahead to the hotly-anticipated encountern at the weekend and
explained: "To play against Madrid would fulfil one of my dreams. Every player in the world wants
to play in this game one day and to do so at 18 would be great."
Highly Motivated
With Barça sitting just behind Madrid in the table, Giovani
recognised that the squad is even more motivated than normal for the game. "We have to win to
continue our form because we are second," he said.
The Blaugrana are four ponts behind their opponents and closing the gap is on all the players
minds, according to the starlet. "The team wants to win in order to close the gap further," he
continued.
The coach’s choice
During the press conference, Giovani was asked several times about whether he thinks he will
be given a starting place in the Barcelona team by coach Frank Rijkaard and admitted that he would
not be too disappointed if he did not.
"It would not disappoint me not to play," he explained. "The coaches know which players are
the best for this game. I am coming back from the injury that I had and I feel like i have done
quite well in my last few games. I will do everything I can, but it is the coach's decision."
