Rijkaard: “People are enjoying Barça's football”
Roger Bogunyà
Former FC Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has given his opinion on the current Blaugrana side and said that “the team is playing very well” and that “people are enjoying” the style of play and the results that are being achieved.
Following his arrival at Barcelona airport in El Prat, the Dutchman explained that Barça have
“a strong dynamic”. In that sense, the coach heaped praise on his successor, Pep
Guardiola, for the way that the team is playing. “I would like to congratulate
Guardiola,” he said. “Because the club is functioning well and the team is playing very
good football.”
Lots of games left
Rijkaard did say that he feels Barça must remain cautious before believing that they have
achieved anything this season. “It is always dangerous to say these things,” he
continued. “There are still a lot of games to go despite the fact that Barça are in very good
form.”
Staying quiet
Asked about his plans, Rijkaard was not prepared to give anything way. “I do not
know yet if I will coach,” he added. “Maybe next year. I do not yet know where or what
opportunities there are. Now I just want to enjoy things.” The former Barça boss did add that
he does “not believe” that he could ever coach Real Madrid.
