Training and goals (1-1)
Berta Brau / Roger Bogunyà
At 18.00 on Thursday at the Miniestadi there was an unusual training session because Barça played a game against touring Uzbek outfit Bunyodkor. It was played over the full 90 minutes and ended 1-1.
Josep Guardiola picked a star studded line-up. Jorquera,
Alves, Cáceres, Puyol, Sylvinho, Keita, Gudjohnsen, Xavi, Messi, Eto'o and Henry played, albeit in
training gear, against the Uzbek side on a freezing cold evening at the Miniestadi.
Presence of Barça Atlètic
All of the substitutes got a run-out, and these included Pedro and Busquets from the first
team, and reserve team players Botía, Abraham, Gai, Víctor Vázquez, Jeffren, Córcoles, Xavi Torres,
Rueda and Fontás.
Missing from the session were Valdés, Pinto, Piqué, Márquez, Touré Yaya, Iniesta, and Bojan,
most of whom had started at the Vicente Calderón, but who trained today in isolation from the first
team.
The Uzbeks
Bunyodkor, managed by Mamet Abdulaevich, started the game with Bugalo, Juraev, Gochkuliev,
Luisao, Khvostunov, Khasanov, Manzukas, Kapadze, Jeparov, Bakaev and Villanueva. In the second half
they fielded Zukhurov, Juraev, Yafarov, Karimov, Raimkulov, Salomov, Karpeniko, Rakhimov,
Baytulaev, Soliev and Pardaev, while Turaev and Jalolov also got time.
The goalscorers
Things were evenly matched throughout the first half. Puyol
put the home side ahead after 19 minutes, while Soliev levelled affairs before the break. There
were plenty more occasions in the second half, but no further scoring.
The game was overseen by referee Francisco Oliva Bueno, who normally officiates in the third
division, assisted by Eduardo Figuerola and Luis Cortés.
The first team will not train again before Saturday, the day before the next league match
against Osasuna.
