Carles Puyol returned to training with the rest of the FC Barcelona squad on Wednesday after missing the past few games through injury.
While Pep Guardiola had some bad news with Andrés Iniesta’s hamstring strain, he was buoyed
by the club captain’s comeback as he trained with the players for the first time in just
under two weeks.
Missed Betis
The day before Puyol had trained to the side of the squad after he suffered a muscle strain
in his left leg that meant that he could not play against Real Betis at the weekend.
22 players
Puyol was part of a group of 22 players that trained with
only Iniesta and Gaby Milito missing from the first team squad. The Argentinian defender worked
away from the rest of the squad as he continues his comeback from a long-term knee injury.
