Porto, Man United and Arsenal also qualify

Porto, Manchester United and Arsenal joined Barça in the CL quarterfinals on Wednesday evening and are all potential opponents in the next round.
The other three ties on the night were all pretty close, especially in Rome (the host city for this
year’s final), where Arsenal needed a penalty shootout to dispatch Roma. Tonetto missed
Roma’s eighth penalty to send Arsenal through.
United tame Inter
The English and Italian league leaders faced each other at Old Trafford after a
goalless draw in Milan. An early goal from Vidic and another from Cristiano Ronaldo in the second
half saw ManU safely through. The English club is reigning European champion after winning in
Moscow last year.
The dream vanishes for Atlético
A goalless draw in Porto against Atlético Madrid was enough to send the local side
through on the away goals rule after a 2-2 draw in the first leg in the Vicente Calderón. The
unfortunate Atlético are therefore eliminated despite not losing a single match in this
season’s CL.
