‘The Guardian' (Great Britain)

Former Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry, is the focus of praise in The Guardian. The English daily goes with the headline: “Henry strikes twice to propel Barcelona into last eight”, and continues, “Barcelona destroyed Lyon's hopes with four goals inside the first 45 minutes on the way to a 5-2 second-leg win that showed Liverpool are not the only side who can turn on the class while booking a place in the Champions League quarter-finals”.

‘Kicker' (Germany)

The headline states, “Henry, Messi and Eto'o, too much for Lyon” and goes on to explain the key behind Barça’s qualification: “Thanks to a gala display and to four well constructed goals in the first half, Barça deservedly qualified for the quarterfinals. Lyon couldn’t have complained if they had conceded more goals. Xavi and Iniesta controlled the rhythm of the entire match”.
