Hat-trick last time round
This season’s league tie against Valencia at Camp Nou resulted in
Henry getting a hat-trick in Barça’s 4-0 victory.
Last season
Last season, Henry’s first for Barça, the Blaugranes faced
Valencia four times. The Frenchman got a goal in the second leg Copa del Rey semi-final in
Mestalla, where unfortunately Rijkaard’s Barça were eliminated.
Henry got two goals in the second league game between the two sides at Camp Nou last season,
a game which ended in a 6-0 rout.
Praise from Guardiola
In the post-match press conference, Barça coach Josep Guardiola praised Henry’s
performance and his goal-scoring sense. For his part, Henry recognized that “you have to be
in the area to get the type of goal I got”.
