Eto'o: “I’ll need to score in Rome”

The Barça striker played down having had a lot of chances against Mallorca and only taking one. The important thing is getting it right in Rome.
“The ball just wouldn’t go in but these things happen,” commented Eto’o.
“I’m having a tough time at the moment.” However, he hopes that in the remaining
League games he can get back to his goal-scoring ways. As for Rome, “there’ll be few
chances and I’ll need to score”.
The striker also thinks that the most important thing was winning the League: “The
team’s done it and with a couple of games still to go. That means we can start getting ready
for the Champions League final with that off our minds”.
Gudjohnsen
“We’ve already got two out of three and now we
can focus on Rome. Some players need a rest and we need to get back those who are injured.”
“There’s still a game to go and we need to get to Rome in the right
condition.”
“As I said a few weeks ago, I’m really happy about this season, how things have
gone and like any other player I’d like to have more game time. But that doesn’t mean
anything. There’ll be time to talk in the summer; there’s been some misunderstanding
here. I said something that any player could have said.”
“Last night my teammates and family congratulated me on the League title.”
“We’ll be the best ever if we win in Rome.”
Jeffren
“I think Pep believes in me but I have to keep on working.”
“Playing games like this with the first team is very motivating. Let’s see if Pep
calls us up again next week.”
Oier
“Arango’s shot was tough, very close, and I didn’t
have time to react.”
“It’s good for the reserves having Guardiola as coach because he knows about the
academy.”
Bojan
“Today was a match in a competition we’d already won. The important thing is that
we’re League champions.”
“We have to enjoy this because the important thing is that we’re Cup winners and
League champions”.
Alves
“Now we’ll get ready for the final.”
“That’s the goal, we’d got ready for it, we’ve now done it and now we
just have the last competition to go.”
“We’re trying to tie up the loose ends. We’ve still got two games left to
help Eto’o be the top goal scorer, and we’ll do everything we can. Today he was
unlucky, but the goals will come.”
“We have to enjoy the final in Rome because they’re unrepeatable games and you
have to enjoy them as if it was your last moment on earth.”
Valdés
“I celebrated the League title at home, and I was very happy that the Villarreal result
made us champions.”
“It was a bit strange after other Leagues when we’ve celebrated on the pitch. But
the most important thing is that we’ve won the League.”
“Winning three titles would be a very good season, and now we’ve got the chance
to do just that.”
