Alves: “It’s still hard to believe”

Marc Guillén / Vanessa Forns

The season’s over and now its time to look back at what’s happened over the campaign. Dani Alves is still finding it difficult to take on board such a spectacular year in the first team. “It’s still hard to believe,” says the full-back.

When Dani Alves appeared at a press conference on 2 July 2008 on the day of his presentation as a new Barça player, it’s pretty sure he couldn’t have imagined the season that lay ahead. At the time he said he was “ambitious” and hoped to win the two titles, the League and the Champions League, he hadn’t picked up at that time.

Taking in the treble

Even though it’s now a few days since the third title, the Champions League, was won in Rome, speaking exclusively to Barça TV and www.fcbarcelonal.cat Dani Alves says that “the players are still finding it hard to take in what we’ve done this season”.

Reward for job well done

Same ambition

I hope we keep our ambition and desire to win. We’ve got to be ambitious because the best thing in football is winning titles.”
