Back to work on July 20th

The majority of the first team squad will report back for pre-season training on 20th July, the day before they fly out for the friendly tournament in London.
The internationals involved in the Confederations Cup and the European Under 21 tournament will
join up a week later.
Monday 20th July will see the triple winning squad join up again for the usual pre-season
medical checks before they fly out to London on Tuesday. The team will play two friendly games at
Wembley, against Tottenham on 24th July and Al Ahly on the 26th after which the squad will return
to Barcelona.
Internationals back
Puyol, Piqué, Xavi, Busquets and Alves will all
return a week later after their exertions in the Confederations Cup, as will Bojan who will have
been on duty with the Spanish Under 21s.
West Coast Trip
With the full squad assembled, Barca will fly over the Atlantic on Wednesday July 29th to
start their American Tour, repeating the experience of 2006 and 2008.. The team are due to play
games in Los Angeles on August 1st and Seattle on 5th before returning home on 9th.
First official games
With the return from The States the team face
their first official games of the 2009/10 season. The first leg of the Spanish Super Cup against
Bilbao is scheduled for 16th August at San Mames, with the return at the Nou Camp a week later.
Sandwiched between the two games is the Joan Gamper Trophy on 18th August, when the Members
Representatives Assembly will also be held.
In their final game before the league season kicks off, Barca will face Shaktar in the
European Super Cup in Monaco on 28th August.
