The Barça first team has continued with its preseason medical tests. On Tuesday the players went onto the field for the first time.
Pep Guardiola’s squad spent Tuesday morning completing the medical tests they started on
Monday. The players were ordered to report bright and early to the Camp Nou, at 8:30. Once they
were ready, they were divided into groups to go out onto the pitch.
First contact with field
So Tuesday was their first proper run-out of the football year. The
Miniestadi was the venue, which this year is going to be used more regularly for training. The
players worked on such areas as strength, resistance and speed – all of which followed the
usual warm up.
Two groups
To do this, The squad was split in two. The first set of players started
work at 9:30, and the second lot went out at about 10.15. The first group featured Abidal, Piqué,
Sergi Busquets, Córcoles, Sylvinho, Pedrito, Henry, Márquez, Gudjohnsen, Valdés and Pinto.
And then in the second we had Oleguer, Víctor Sánchez, Abraham, Bojan, Víctor Vázquez,
Jeffren, Marc Valiente, Crosas, Cáceres, Touré and Jorquera.
