Milito off to Argentina
www.fcbarcelona.cat
Gaby Milito will travel to Argentina on Saturday where he will continue his recuperation from the injury to his right knee after being permission by the club to take advantage of the pre-season period to spend some time back at home.
The FC Barcelona defender is in the middle of his recovery programme after undergoing surgery on
May 13 to repair a cruciate ligament in his knee. After the operation, doctors estimated that the
player would be out of action for at least six months and has chosen to head back to South America
in order to be among his family for a while.
Check up
Like the rest of the Barça squad, Milito underwent the pre-season medical checks at the club
last Monday, even though he is nursing his injury. The former Real Zaragoza star's tests could be
analytical only, however. He has also been back at Camp Nou this week having physiotherapy with the
medics.
Same as Messi
With FC Barceona due to travel to St Andrews in Scotland and then the United States, Milito
will travel to Argentina where he will continue his convalescence. Lionel Messi did the same thing
when he was overcoming his long-term injury and club doctors travelled with him in order to ensure
that he was working correctly.
