All about the Saint Andrews trip
Roger Bogunyà
This Monday the FC Barcelona first team will be heading off to Saint Andrews for the second year in a row to continue their preseason build up. They will have two matches and daily double training sessions in Scotland.
At 9.15 am on Monday and after a gentle session at La Masía, the first team expedition will leave
the Camp Nou for El Prat airport. There they will catch a flight to Edinburgh where they will
arrive at 12.30 pm local time.
Double sessions
That same afternoon the team will have their first training
session in Scotland at 6.30 pm at Saint Andrews. It will be the first of many as the team will have
double training morning and evening (10 am and 6 pm) on Tuesday and Wednesday.
First game Thursday
On Thursday there will only be training in the morning as that evening Guardiola’s men
will be taking on Hibernian (19.45 local time, live on Barça TV and BTV Online) in their first
preseason match at Murrayfield, Edinburgh.
Saturday against Dundee United
The day after the debut of Barça 2008/09 the team will have
another double training session before going back to a single one on Saturday. That’s because
that afternoon they will be taking on Dundee United (16.00 local time, live on Barça TV and BTV
Online) at Tannadice Stadium.
After the game the team will fly straight back to Barcelona, arriving at around 00.30.
