Eleven goals and seven stars

Jesús Carrillo

The two games in Scotland have thrown up an interesting statistic for the start of Pep Guardiola’s time in charge of Barça. The games against Hibernian and Dundee United ended with eleven goals for, one against and seven Barça goalscorers.

Messi, Touré Yaya, Henry, Eto'o, Gudjohnsen, Bojan and Pedro all scored during the team’s time at Saint Andrews. Messi comes top of the list with four strikes.

First by Gudjhonsen

Icelander Eidur Gudjohnsen scored the first goal of preseason when the ex-Chelsea man found the net twice in the first game against Hibs. Barça notched four in the first half, the two from Gudjohnsen plus one each from Messi and Pedro. In the second half Bojan and Touré each added one more.

Hat-trick by Messi

All shots

22 players used
Josep Guardiola has used 22 players in the two games in Scotland. Gudjhonsen played most, being on the pitch for 140 minutes over the two matches. Barça’s latest signing, Alexander Hleb, played least with just 21 minutes against Hibs.
