Wisla, Barça’s rival in the preliminary

Wisla Krakow will be Barça’s rival in the preliminary phase of the Champion’s League. The Polish team beat Beitar 5-0, making up for losing 2-1 in the first leg in Jerusalem.
The Polish champion will be Barça’s rival in the preliminary phase of the Champions League.
Wisla had no problems putting Beitar Jerusalem out easily 5-0 in the second leg of the second
eliminatory round played this Wednesday in the Wisla Stadium in Krakow. With this result, the
Polish team pulled back the 2-1 result from the first leg in Jerusalem.
They sealed the result in the first half
Wisla left the qualifier on the right road in the first half with a sound 3-0. In the ninth
minute, the Argentine Cantoro made it 1-0. In the 25th, the Brazilian Cleber scored a penalty
disputed by the Israelis to make it 2-0. Nine minutes from the end of the first half
the forward Pawel Brozec scored Wisla’s third goal leaving the game almost
tied up. After the break, the Costa Rican Júnior Díaz put the fourth on the score sheet in the 56th
minute and Niedzielan, scored the definitive 5-0 in the dying moments of the game.
The first leg this coming Wednesday at 10p.m.
The first leg of the third round of the Champion’s League between Barça and Wisla will
be played on Wednesday the 13th of August at 10p.m. in the Camp Nou after the Polish club not
accepting Barça’s proposal to change the order of the tie and play the first leg in Krakow.
Twelve teams qualified this Wednesday
Apart from Wisla a further eleven teams went through to the next round this Wednesday: Brann,
Dynamo Kiev, Kaunas, Artmedia, Sparta, Basel, Bate, Anorthosis, Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce and
Partizán.
