www.fcbarcelona.cat
The first team players have had their first training since returning from the tour of the United States. After a day and a half off, Guardiola had the first of today’s two training sessions this morning.
Having returned from the United States Thursday lunchtime, the football team started back training
this Saturday morning, in roder to prepare for the first official game of the season, the first leg
of the Champions League eliminatory. Wisla Krakow, Barça’s rival, await them this coming
Wednesday (10p.m.) in the Camp Nou.
Double session
The first session of the day started at 9.30a.m. in the Mini-stadium. As
is usual on a double session day, the morning training was basically centred on the physical
aspect.
Jorquera and Crosas, the only ones missing
The goalkeeper Albert Jonquera and the midfielder Marc Crosas were the
only absentees from training. The goalkeeper, who has not been given the all clear, has been
working in the gym, whilst Marc Crosas didn’t train as he is finalising his move to Glasgow
Celtic.
With 5 of the junior players
Josep Guardiola is counting on the five junior team players that went with them on the North
American tour. We’re talking about Sergi Busquets, Víctor Vázquez, Vcíctor Sánchez, Jeffren
and Pedro. Both Vázquez and Sánchez, injured during the tour, trained normally. The same goes for
Sylvinho, who didn’t take part in the last session in New York.
