Wisla looking for upset

David Puig

Wisla manager, Maciej Skorza, is not counting out a good result at the Camp Nou on Wednesday. The Pole is hoping his dream can come true and he can get a win in Barcelona.

Wisla Krakow want to make life complicated for Barça in the first leg of the decisive Champions League qualifying match. The manager of the Polish outfit, Maciej Skorza, was speaking to the press before Wisla trained on the pitch and said “It is a huge honour to play against Barça and our aim is to get a good result that leaves us in with a chance of getting through the round. That would be a dream come true – a draw would be good”.

Pressure on Barça

Skorza is keen to pass the pressure over to Barça., saying “we are playing a team that is under much more pressure than we are. Barça are obliged to qualify, while for us it would be a dream. I am sure they’ll have bad moments during the game. For us, it depends what advantage we can make of those”.

Injured players

ENTRENAMENT_3.JPGFor Wednesday, Skorza is without his injured captain Arkadiusz Geowaki, and there are doubts surrounding Brojec. “Missing our captain is a delicate loss to our team. We will not know about Brojec until the last moment, he can’t play right now but we’ll see how things have developed on Wednesday. Luckily, Cleber has recovered and will be able to play” said the Wisla boss.
