Bojan, called up by Del Bosque
www.fcbarcelona.cat
The presence of Bojan Krkic is one of the main innovations in what has been the first call-up by Vicente del Bosque as the new national squad manager. Puyol, Iniesta and Xavi are also on the list.
The boy from Linyola’s debut with the Spanish side could take place next Wednesday. Vicente
del Bosque has decided to include Bojan in the squad for the game against Denmark on the 20th in
Copenhagen. There will be three other regulars in the Spanish team in the form of Puyol, Iniesta
and Xavi. Barcelona is the club supplying most players on this occasion.
One previous time
This is not the first time Bojan has been called on to join the Spanish national side. Whilst
Luis Aragonés was manager the Barcelona player was called up to play a friendly against the French
squad on the 6th of February in Malaga, making him the youngest player to be called up for Spain.
Despite attending the match, in the end he couldn’t play.
We should also remember that Bojan Krkic renounced taking part in the Euro 2008 held in
Austria and Switzerland this summer.
Piqué with the under-21s
On the other hand we should also point out that Gerard Piqué was called up for the under-21s
on Wednesday to play in the game between Russia and Spain, in the 17th European Championship, on
the 20th of August in Moscow.
