Training resumes with reduced squad

The team returned to training on Tuesday morning after a two-day break. Just nine players reported for duty (including two from the reserve squad) with the bulk of the squad still away on international duty.

Present at training this morning were Victor Valdés, Pinto, Sylvinho, Eto'o, Martin Cáceres, Abidal and Alves, plus Pedro and Victor Sánchez from the reserve squad. A further ten members of the Barça squad are still involved with their international commitments.

Busquets, Jeffren and Vázquez

Meanwhile, Busquets, Jeffren and Victor Vázquez returned to training with Barça Atlètic. Dani Alves, Martin Cáceres and Victor Sánchez, who have all been struggling recently with fitness problems, all trained normally although Cáceres and Sánchez worked out separately after the initial exercises.
