Danger in the air

Barça players have scored five goals with the head so far in the pre-season. In just six matches, the players have demonstrated that the latest Barça squad could prove to be dangerous in the air.

Xavi and Márquez both scored with the head. Finally,
Puyol and Eto'o
sealed the result with two more headed goals.
Guardiola strengthens aerial threat
Pep Guardiola is keen to score more headed goals from
corners as well as encouraging fast breaks down the wings finishing with an aerial cross. So far,
during the pre-season preparations three corners have resulted in headed goals.
Few headed goals last season
Last season, Barça did not pose a great threat in the air,
scoring just eight headed goals, six in the league and two in the Cup. Henry got three, Eto'o and
Márquez two and Milito one.
