Fitness tests in training
Marc Guillén / Roger Bogunyà
The first team squad trained on Wednesday morning in the Miniestadi. During the session the players underwent a number of tests to measure their fitness levels.

The session saw the welcome return of Martin Cáceres, who trained apart
from the group on Tuesday after missing out on the Joan Gamper win against Boca due to a muscle
problem in his left leg. Victor Sánchez, who was also struggling with an injury, completed the
session without difficulty. However, Dani Alves was restricted to the warm-up exercises.
A day for experiments

The eight players available for training - Eto'o, Abidal, Cáceres,
Valdes, Pinto, Pedro, Sánchez and Sylvinho - completed a number of tests for speed, strength and
stamina. They also repeated a test from earlier in the summer to measure their evolution and
current level of fitness. The results will show if any of the players needs to work on a specific
area.
