Match day training
Berta Brau
As none of the Barça first team players will be involved in tonight’s Copa Catalunya semi final with Sant Andreu, training went ahead as normal today, with Nolito training with the first team for the first time.
It will be Barça Atlètic that represent the club in Sant Carles de la Ràpita tonight in the semi
final of the Copa Catalunya against Sant Andreu so it was training as normal this morning for Pep
Guardiola and the team. Ten players were involved, six from the first team (Eto'o, Pinto, Valdés,
Sylvinho, Victor Sánchez and Alves) and reserve players Córcoles, Espasandín, Longás and Nolito,
the players not picked by Luis Enrique, and who instead worked under the orders of Pep Guardiola.
Nolito for first time
So, Nolito played under Pep Guardiola’s orders for the
time. The player was signed on July 21 from Écija as an extra striker, and he has scored one goal
so far, said goal coming in a preseason game with CF Vilanova, the last of the reserve team’s
preseason campaign. His goal was the one that tied the match.
Training at La Masia
The venue for the session was La Masia, with work getting
under way at 9.30 am. The full coaching staff was present for a session that mainly included all of
the routine warm-ups and drills.
