Andrés Iniesta has stated that he is confident that FC Barcelona are progressing well despite only earning one point from their first two league games and thinks that they just need a bit more luck in front of goal.
The Blaugrana playmaker spoke to the press on Sunday morning and reflected on the draw with Racing
Santander from the night before. "We have talked the game and analysed things, but I believe that
away from the result, it was a positive performance and will help build our confidence ahead of the
match on Tuesday," he explained. "We created a lot of chances and could just not convert them. It
is a question of time before the results will come, I am sure."
Success assured
"What is important is that we have faith in what we are doing and in what the coach wants us
to do because by continuing like that we will definitely be successful," Iniesta continued. "We
have to confidence in what is being done. Things will go well and everything will be better."
One more goal
"The game on Saturday was not like the one in Numancia," he
explained. "The result was completely unjust because they only had one shot while we did everything
we could to win the three points. We just lacked one goal. With the quality that we have up front
we just need a change of fortune in front of goal. I think that soon the shots that are blocked or
saved by the keeper's feet will start to go in."
Sporting next
The season is up and running now and Barça have only a short break before taking on Sporting
Clube from Lisbon in the first Champions League group game on Tuesday. "The Sporting game is
important because victories can give you strength," Iniesta said. "It is a different competition,
very difficult, and we cannot lose, especially at home. We have to win, no doubt. We have to have
real desire to do that."

Pleased for Busquets
André Iniesta paid tribute to Barça youngster Sergi Busquets, after he started against Racing. "He
played very well despite the fact that making your debut is always hard," he said. Iniesta replaced
the youth team product in the second half and was asked what he thought of being a substitute. "We
all understand the idea and are behind the coach," he continue. "We all feel part of things and
feel important."
