Albert Jorquera is ready to play again after nine months on the sidelines. Milito, who also suffered a serious knee injury, is back in Barcelona and has been examined by club doctors.
Albert Jorquera got the green light from club doctors this Monday afternoon after the training
session held prior to leaving for Donetsk. The keeper snapped his right knee ligament last 29
December and after nine months out of action returned to training with the squad last Friday. He
was given the all-clear by club doctors today.
Milito’s back
Gaby Milito has arrived in Barcelona and has been examined by club doctors and Doctor Ramon
Cugat. The club says the defender’s recovery is going well and he will now start working at
club facilities.
Milito’s right knee ligament injury was picked up on after last 29 April’s
Champions League semi-final at Old Trafford. On 13 May he was operated on by Doctor Ramon Cugat,
who forecast recovery time of between six and nine months.
Three-stage recovery
Milito’s recovery process is split into three stages. The first post-op one was
monitored by Doctor Cugat’s team. The second has been taking place in Argentina since July
under the supervision of the national side’s doctor, Homero de Agostino. The defender will
begin the last stage in the next few days at the club’s facilities.
