Jorquera: “Barça are exciting”
David Puig
Albert Jorquera has highlighted Barça’s excellent form after collecting their sixth consecutive win. He claims he is gradually getting match fit again, but knows how hard it is in a team with three top class goalkeepers.
Albert Jorquera was one of the few first team players that took training today at the Ciudad
Deportiva. The Barça stopper gave a press conference after the workout and spoke about the
team’s excellent run of form. Following six consecutive wins “the team is progressing
very well and also playing attacking football that is exciting for people to watch.”
Goals conceded
Jorquera does not feel the team’s defensive record is a
cause for concern. “I don’t think the team’s letting in that many goals. The
worrying thing is when an offence minded team can’t score. And you also have to analyse the
ways in which goals have gone past Valdés. When we let in goals, you shouldn’t only ask
questions about the goalkeeper” he said.
Three first team keepers
Now that Jorquera is fit again, Guardiola has three keepers in his first team, a situation
Jorquera finds unusual. “It is a difficult situation for me, because I am coming back from a
long injury. Now I’m working to get my form back and get back to full fitness. Then it is
down to the boss to decide. I expect him to pick the keepers he trusts the most. We haven’t
spoken about the subject yet”.
