Pedro, out for four weeks

The FC Barcelona player has torn 3 cm of fibres in his semimembranosous muscle. It means he will be out for the next four weeks.
Pedro was injured in training with the Spanish Under 21 squad in Lorca, where they are preparing
for two matches against Switzerland. He immediately returned to Barcelona and was subjected to
testing at the Camp Nou.
Result of tests
After tests, it was announced that “the player has torn 3 cm of fibres in his
semimembranosous muscle. The striker will be out for the next four weeks”.
After the tests, Pedro went to the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper, where the first team was
training, to talk things over with Josep Guardiola. The striker then immediately began his recovery
programme.
Iniesta, working alone
Meanwhile, Andrés Iniesta, who is training with the full international squad, has taken a
report from the FC Barcelona medical services with him suggesting that the player do specific
individual work after feeling some bother in his left knee after the game with Atlético Madrid. So,
in Spain’s training sessions, Iniesta has been leaving early to do follow this specific
programme.
