The first team has a tough week ahead of it, revolving around Wednesday’s game at Basle and Saturday’s home fixture against Almería.
After the away win at Athletic Bilbao this Sunday (0-1), Pep Guardiola’s men are starting
out on a week that is marked by Wednesday’s Champions League encounter away at Basle and
Saturday’s clash at home with Almería.
Preparations began this Monday after the presentation of the club’s new official coach,
with a training session behind closed doors in the Miniestadi that began at 11 am.
First up Basle
This Tuesday the team will meet up at Camp Nou before heading for El Prat airport at 11 am to
catch a flight to Switzerland, where on Wednesday at 8.45 pm they take on Basle in the third round
of Champions League group stage matches. Once in Switzerland the side will train at the St. Jacobs
Stadium on Tuesday at 7.30 pm.
Back to the League
After the Champions League fixture the team will spend the night in Basle before flying back
to Barcelona on Thursday, with another training session at 1 pm in the Miniestadi. This will mark
the start of preparations for Saturday’s League fixture, and two more sessions are scheduled
for Friday and Saturday at Camp Nou, both of them at 11 am.
