“We’re taking this game very seriously”
Marc Guillén
Josep Guardiola is impressed by the way Getafe play and also by their coach Víctor Muñoz as he’s always caused problems for Barça at Camp Nou.
Guardiola doesn’t want to think about four games in a row against the top teams, but instead
wants to concentrate on Barça’s next opponents because “if you want to win the League
you have to take all your games seriously”.
“Messi’s fine”
Josep Guardiola had a positive message for Barça fans when
he said that
Messi
has “nothing serious”. “He had a niggle and today he’s trained on his
own but he did a full work-out and we’ll see tomorrow whether he can play,” said
Barça’s coach. “Whenever you play there’s always a risk of injury, always.”
Guardiola says that the Argentine is “in good spirits and really wants to play”
though this time his problem is different: “So far it’s always been the back of the leg
and yesterday he had a niggle at the front.”
All games are important
For Guardiola the vital match is always the next one because
“all games are important”. The fact that many Barça players have been away on
international duty this week is an added problem for Barça in a game against Getafe who have
“lots of quality players”.
“I have a lot of respect for Víctor Muñoz; he’s got a great track record and has
done really well against us here at Camp Nou,” said Guardiola about Getafe’s manager.
“He always seems to have something up his sleeve for this game.” Getafe have only lost
once away this season and recently “didn’t deserve” to lose to Seville and
Valencia.
