Carles Puyol and Touré Yaya have both been recalled to the FC Barcelona squad to face Sevilla at the weekend while Víctor Sánchez and Pedro have been left out.
The Blaugrana coaching staff announced the squad for the trip to Andalucia on Friday and it was
revealed the Puyol and Touré are back in after missing the Champions League outing against Sporting
Clube in midweek. Andrés Iniesta, Éric Abidal and Gaby Milito are all still out injured, while
Sánchez and Pedro are rested.
It is the same squad that travelled to play Recreativo in Huelva in the last league away
game.
Cold snap
Before the squad was named, Barça held a training session on
Friday morning in the Miniestadi and all the players made it clear that they were not keen on the
sudden cold snap in the Catalan capital. Bojan Krkic was able to train with normality as predicted
after he underwent a cautious programme the day before after feeling pain in his Achilles tendon.
Abidal continued his return to full fitness by training with the squad. The French
international has been out of action for almost a month with a knee injury.
Training and travelling
The team will travel to Sevilla on Saturday at midday after training beforehand.
