FC Barcelona’s first team squad enjoyed their second training session of the week as they continued their preparations for the game against Villarreal on Sunday and Carles Puyol, Rafa Márquez and Touré Yaya all returned.
Puyol, Márquez and Touré were all back in action too after
missing Tuesday’s training session for various reasons. The club captain had a dental
problem, while the Mexican defender had a muscle strain and the Ivory Coast midfielder was laid low
with a migraine. The trio all recovered from their varying ailments though in time to join the rest
of the players on Wednesday.
Like always the session started with the usual warm-up
exercises and stretching routines before the players were joined by a team from Bulgaria who are
over as part of the Hristo Stoichkov Football School. On Monday, the visiting side played a game
against a team made up of Barça youth team players and the hosts recorded a comfortable 5-1
victory.
