Barça’s training session on Friday was affected by the cold weather conditions in the Ciutat Contal as the wind ensured that the players had to be well wrapped up before taking to the pitch.
The Blaurgana stars worked at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper the day after being watched by
around 7,000 fans in the Miniestadi. In stark contrast coach Pep Guardiola only allowed the media
to watch the first 15 minutes of the penultimate session before the game against Tenerife on
Sunday.
Hats and gloves
With the cold and wind playing its part the squad dressed accordingly
with captain Carles Puyol choosing a complete thermal outfit for the occasion in order to try and
fend off the weather. Others such as Gerard Piqué, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Bojan Krkic wore gloves
and woolly hats.
All present
Guardiola saw all of his players out on the pitch, although Jeffren and
Éric Abidal worked to one side as they continued their individual quests to recover from injury.
Jonathan, Vázquez, Thiago and Gay were promoted from the youth ranks once again to join in
with the first team squad and continue their learning process.

Saturday training
The FC Barcelona players will train once again on Saturday before heading off to Tenerife. The
session will take place at 11am behind closed doors at the Ciutat Esportiva. While the squad
usually travels to away matches on the day of the game, Guardiola has chosen to take his players
one day early to prepare.
