Josep Guardiola has recovered Touré and Sergio Busquets for Saturday’s game in Gijón. With Alves out through injury, the team is also missing the suspended Keita.
FC Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola has had good and bad news today. He
has found out he will be picking a side to play at the Molinón that will be missing Alves, but
Sergio Busquets and Touré are in.
Jeffren was also given medical clearance today, although he has been training for some time
with the first team. However, his name is not in the squad.
Touré, first training of 2010
Touré Yaya, who returned to Barcelona on Thursday, trained for the first
time with Barça in 2010, as he has been away in Angola playing in the Nations Cup. With the Ivory
Coast’s campaign over, he was given a hearty welcome back before training on Friday morning.
Touré has been selected, but there is no place for Keita, who picked up his fifth yellow card
of the season against Valladolid.
Sergio is back
Barça can also welcome back Sergio Busquets from injury. The midfielder
took a knock against Sevilla, and sat out Barça’s win over Valladolid.
Off to Gijón on Saturday
The players will be flying to Gijón on Saturday morning. They leave the Camp Nou at 9.15 for
El Prat airport, where a flight will be waiting for them at 10.00. They should be touching down in
Asturias at about 11.30.
