Chygrynskiy injury shock

Dmitri Chygrynskiy has a slight thigh problem and will be sidelined for about a week. He joins an alarming list of defensive absentees for the Atletico Madrid game.
The Ukrainian centre half noticed some discomfort in his left thigh in training on Tuesday. The
niggle persisted on Wednesday and he had a scan which revealed a 1.5 centimetres tear. He will be
out for approximately a week.
Missing in defence
He joins a long list of players who will be unavailable for this
weekend’s match in the Vicente Calderon, most of them in defence. Alves, Márquez, Piqué,
Abidal
and Touré (who can play as a centre half) are all ruled out by injury or suspension. As such,
the only dedicated defenders left to the manager are Puyol, Milito and Maxwell.
Chygrynskiy signed for Barça in the summer, just before the transfer window slammed shut.
Since then he has played in 12 matches (10 league and 2 Cup).
