Barça are continuing their preparations for the trip to Atlético Madrid. On Friday they spent some time discussing tactics before heading out to the pitch.
Training was meant to start today at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper at 11:30, but the players
were there earlier than planned in order to discuss some tactical issues. They then went through
the usual warm up drills, and despite the chilly weather, the spirits looked high all round.
Reserve reinforcements
Like on Thursday, Josep Guardiola, and no doubt with the lack of
available defenders for the game at the Vicente Calderón on his mind, brought in three extra
defenders in the form of Albert Dalmau, Marc Muniesa and Marc Bartra, as well as midfielder
Jonathan Dos Santos.
Piqué in isolation
As he is missing the game with Atlético Madrid though suspension, Gerard
Piqué is using the time to do specific work in isolation and spent most of the time working out
with a fitness coach.
The same for Puyol
Carles Puyol, as he has done for the last few days, also trained with a fitness coach
separately from the rest of the squad.
