Henry and Grimau meet

FC Barcelona football star Thierry Henry met up with basketball icon Roger Grimau at the club's training complex and Barça TV was there to record the event.
The duo had not met, but while the Frenchman is a well known fan of basketball Grimau admitted that
he has always liked the forward. "I think he is great and whenever he plays and has the ball he
creates something dangerous," he explained.
Henry was equally complimentary about his counterpart. "When they told me we were going to
meet I was surprised but thought it was a great good thing for us to get to know each other," he
said. Grimau arrived for the encounter with his son Joel and when Henry arrived the pair began to
play around with a ball.
Passions shared
As well as being the top goalscorer in French football, Henry is also
adept in front of a hoop. "He can play basketball as well," Grimau exclaimed. Henry explained where
his passion for the sport came from. "It was Michael Jordan's fault as well as Magic Johnson. I
love the NBA and after football that is my great passion."
They exchange the roles
The pair then moved on to football and Grimau showed that he is useful
when it comes to using his feet. "I remember the Dream Team when I was young that won the European
Cup at Wembley and two titles thanks to Tenerife," he said. "That is my generation and I am lucky
to have seen Barça win so many trophies, like last term. That was impressive."
Henry was delighted when Grimau admitted that he was a big fan. "He was
able to come to Barça and to adapt and become a star here," the basketball star stated. "He helped
the team to win so many trophies."
Henry responded in kind: "I love Grimau's winning attitude," he commented. "When I see him
play and he wins the ball it is always like it is in the last minute, the last ball of the game. I
like that about him."
