Henry gets afternoon workout
www.fcbarcelona.cat
This afternoon, Thierry Henry was at the Ciutat Esportiva working out because the snow on the pitch this morning may have done more bad than good to his Achilles tendon injury, but he should be fit for the game with Valencia.
Precaution
This morning the squad trained on the artificial grass of pitch number
6, and the coaching staff decided it would make more sense for Henry to exercise in the gym. But
later in the day the Frenchman was joined by a fitness specialist on pitch number 1, seeing as the
snow had disappeared as the day drew on.
Hard work
There is no reason to believe he won’t be ready in time for the game this
weekend against Valencia (19.00). Today he was able to jog for some time and also do some intensive
resistance work. He also carried a belt on his chest that was used to control his heart beat via
computer.
Keita also there
Henry coincided with Seydou Keita on the pitch. The Malian also has
extra work to do as he seeks to recover from a torn muscle in his left leg, sustained in the game
with Atlético Madrid. Today he was seen playing with the ball for the first time since his injury,
and worked on passing with a member of the coaching staff.
