Training at The Emirates

FC Barcelona have trained at The Emirates ahead of their Champions League quarter final encounter with Arsenal and Éric Abidal was given the green light to appear in the encounter after recovering from injury.
The Blaugrana were able find their bearings in the Gunners’ new stadium as Pep Guardiola
prepared his players for their first ever appearance there. Beneath heavy rain the squad were put
through their paces at around 6pm local time and it appeared to be an emotional moment for former
Arsenal star Thierry Henry.
Henry returns
Despite
having spent just one of his eight seasons with the Premier League outfit at the Emirates, Henry
still has great memories of time with the club as he became their all-time leading goalscorer.
Throughout the session all eyes were on him as many employees of the home club that were present
speculated on whether or not he would play for Barça in the game.
Abidal back in action
Ahead of the game Guardiola was given a great boost as Abidal was told
by club medics that he could be considered for the game after reaching full fitness having bounced
back from an injury that he suffered during a session in Reus in early February.
Gerard Piqué was also able train normally and will be available after he returned having
missed the last few matches with a knee injury.
