Bojan: “It’s a final”
Vanessa Forns
Bojan Krkic says that the squad are fully focused on Tuesday’s encounter with Arsenal. He considers the game to be akin to a final, so they will all be going for it 100%.
Josep
Guardiola’s side faces Arsenal at the Camp Nou on Tuesday, with their Champions League future
at stake. Bojan Krkic told today’s press conference that the players have put thoughts of the
Madrid game on Saturday aside and have their minds firmly fixed on the more immediate challenge.
“Saturday’s game will come. Tomorrow we have a real final and we only want to
concentrate on that” he said.
Ready to play
The striker reckons the game with Arsenal “will be a nice one, a game to enjoy, at a
great venue” and that “we are prepared to deal with it, to be sure. It is the most
important game, we have a lot at stake.”
Two attacking teams
After
the 2-2 draw in the first leg, Barça will once again be taking an offensive approach. “We
have to go out and attack in this game” he said. “If we do that, we will gain in many
areas.” But Bojan also thinks the Gunners will do the same. “They’ll come out
looking to score, because they have to” he said.
In the best possible hands
As Ibrahimovic is injured, Bojan is likely to feature in Josep Guardiola’s plans.
Naturally he would love to take part, but “the boss is the best man to decide who plays.
Nobody knows how to approach this game better than he does. Whoever he picks, I’m sure
it’ll be the best option.”
And if he does get a game, Bojan made it clear that “I will do all I can to help the
team.” But if he misses out, he will not be upset. “I’m very grateful to the
boss, and very happy to be able to play here, help my team mates, and enjoy myself when I am given
chances” he said.
