Barça returned to training on Saturday with their attention now focused on the next League outing against Xerez. The whole squad trained apart from Iniesta.
After playing Inter Milan and having a day off, Josep Guardiola’s side got back to work at
the Ciutat Esportiva today at 11.00. Only a cloudy morning, the only absentee was the injured
Andrés Iniesta.
First of three
This was the first of three training sessions for FC Barcelona before
Saturday’s game at the Camp Nou, a key encounter with just five games left to play. They will
train again on Friday and then again on Saturday morning, as is the norm for home matches, when the
session is scheduled for 12.00.
League the priority
So, for the time being, the team need to put both the midweek trip to
Milan and next week’s return fixture behind them and get focused instead on the domestic
championship, where they need to defend a slender one-point advantage on Real Madrid.

Friday at 11.00
It’s the same time, same place on Friday for the penultimate session before taking on the
Andalusians. That’s the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, at 11.00, after which Josep Guardiola
will be speaking to the media ahead of the game with Xerez.
