Spoilt for choice up front

Marc Guillén

Whoever lines up in attack against Inter will have to take his chances if Barca are to reach the final. Fortunately, all six forwards in the squad are in good goal scoring form.

Both Messi and Pedro have shown recently that they’re in lethal form in front of goal. However, the other four forwards are close behind.

Ibrahimovic

After a two-week injury layoff, the Swedish international has gradually worked his way back to full match fitness. Against Jerez he scored a goal and gave a goal assist. Before picking up his injury, Ibrahimovic had scored 5 goals in just four matches and on Saturday gave plenty of indications that he’s recovered the confidence every striker needs.

Henry

Guardiola has handed the French international more minutes on the pitch over the past three games and Henry has responded well, culminating in his goal against Jerez. The team’s oldest forward put in a good performance against the league’s bottom side and is hoping to give his manager plenty to think about when it comes to team selection.

Jeffren

However, he’s made the starting line-up in four of the last six matches and has repaid the manager’s confidence by scoring two goals. The Canary born winger is possibly the fastest player in the squad – a useful talent when it comes to opening up one of the tightest defences in European Club football.

Bojan

On paper, Bojan has a definite claim to a place against Inter – he’s scored 5 goals in his last six matches with an average of a goal every 50 minutes. Against Jerez, he was on the pitch for 17 minutes.

Touré
If the match against Jerez was a general rehearsal for the clash against Inter then things couldn’t have gone better. The players all performed well and even Touré Yaya, who has played less than the rest of his team-mates in midfield, set up a goal on a plate for Ibrahimovic and was a powerful presence in midfield.
