Milito extends contract to 2012

Gabriel Milito signed a contract extension this morning that will keep him at the club until 2012 – giving him a further year on his original deal which was due to run out in 2011.

Club President Joan Laporta and the Argentinean defender signed the new extension this morning. The new deal extends Milito’s stay at the club to 2012, whilst maintaining the penalty clause for breaking the contract of 90 million Euros.

Gabriel Milito, who will be 30 on September 7th, joined the club in the summer of 2007 from Zaragoza. He came back after a long injury lay off to make eleven league appearances, five in the Champions League and one in the Spanish Cup this season.
