Ibrahimovic and Maxwell title successes
Vanessa Forns
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Maxwell helped FC Barcelona to win the title in their first season at Camp Nou and in doing so become the players in the Blaugrana squad with most championship medals throughout their careers with six apiece.
Coach Pep Guardiola has 21 first-team players in his squad and the Swede and the Brazilian now top
the list of players with the most top spots under their belts after helping Barça win the 2009/10
Spanish league.
Sylvinho success
Last season Sylvinho was the most decorated with league medals as he had five and was
followed by Xavi Hernández, Rafael Márquez and Thierry Henry, all of whom had four. While the
latter three all added one more each to their tallies this term, both Ibra and Maxwell arrived
having won five championships and Barça helped them to have to find more space in their trophy
cabinets.
Ajax and Inter
Ibrahimovic and Maxwell have both won titles at two of the same clubs in their
careers as they have appeared for Ajax and Inter before joining Barça last summer.
With the Dutch side the pair enjoyed championship success in the 2001/02 and 2003/04 seasons
and then played together at Inter and won Serie A in 2006/07, 2007/08 and 2008/09.
Guardiola wins
There is one person at FC Barcelona who can beat them all though as
coach Pep Guardiola won the Spanish league title six times as a player and has now won it twice as
a trainer meaning that he has no less than eight medals on his sideboard.
