Winning the treble - Champions League and the domestic Cup and League- is hard enough, but it’s arguably even harder to maintain a team’s winning ways the following season.
But Guardiola’s Barca pushed on from last year and took two Super Cups, the World Club Cup
and the Spanish League this season.
Inter Milan’s win in the Bernabeu put them in an elite group of clubs who have won the
treble in a season, alongside Celtic, Ajax, PSV, Manchester United and Barca, but they will really
have to excel if they are to beat Barca’s record of winning four more titles the following
season.
No Hangover!
Since
raising the European Cup in Rome last May, Carles Puyol has gone on to lift four more trophies: the
Spanish and European Super Cups, the World Club Cup and the Spanish League, outdoing all the other
teams who’ve previously won a treble.
