Sergio Busquets, following the Confederations Cup, is enjoying his summer vacation, and says he is looking forward to the new season.
On Saturday the player was taking part in the Campus Nike in Andorra. Speaking to Barça TV and the
club website, Busquets said that although he doesn’t have much time for a holiday after
travelling to South Africa, he is “very much looking forward” to getting back under the
orders of Josep Guardiola.
Internationals back on July 27
The squad is to report back on July 20, but Sergio Busquets and the other players that were
involved in the Confederations Cup have an extra week before they will be expected in Barcelona.
Two days later, they will all be off to the west coast of the USA for the tour from July 29 to
August 9.
Only focused on Barça
He admits that teams like Real Madrid “have made some very good
signings”, but prefers “to stay out of it” and still thinks that as the defending
champions “Barça is the team to beat”.
Renewed optimism
Sergio Busquets is also sure the new season will get off to a great start. “I am sure
the squad will be as happy as it was last season and that we’ll be able to do a lot of things
for the fans”.

Traditional campus
This is the eleventh year of the Nike Football Campus. This year it involves three groups of
children divided by age categories, and which play in three different competitions. Each team is
named after a Nike sponsored sportsperson, which includes some FC Barcelona players, such as Bojan,
Iniesta and Sergio Busquets himself.
